In this project, I have talked
about the history of computers. Even though we don't think of the computer as
being that hard to make, it still took many people over many years building and
developing the computer to the standard that we have today. Computers are being
developed at a much faster rate than in the past because we have a better
understanding of how to make computers, how to develop computers, and people
are coming up with new additions to the computer every day. The best computers
have not been made yet. Unimaginable new features for computers have not been
invented yet. The most efficient computers have not been produced yet.Who knows
what computers might be like in the future? There might be solar powered
computers. There might be voice-controlled computers. Who knows?
Today, we don't think twice about
the effort that went into building computers. The computer seems like a simple
device that didn't take much to make. The truth is that even today the computer
still takes quite a while to make. Today, computers are so advanced that you
can talk on the phone using a device small enough to fit in your ear
(bluetooth).
Computers started out running very
slow. Today, you can go from one website to another in seconds. Even cell
phones can do mostly the same job as most computers today. Even though it takes
twice as long as a computer to send emails, use the internet, and other
things, smart phones are still have a very advanced computing ability.
Computers can also be very small.
The smallest computer (left) is considered to be the smallest computer in the
world. It is the size of the "N" on the back of a penny or about the
same size as the "N" in this sentence. Even though it is extremely
small, it is still very powerful.
Computers have always been powerful, but today, they are being developed at a much faster rate than in the past. Who knows what they will think of next?
